By contributing to responsible electronic waste collection and recycling, you are directly protecting Lithuania’s ecosystem and helping to return critically important raw materials to the secondary market. The “Fixas” collection and disposal service is based on a strong commitment to sustainability and the circular economy. We believe that every unused device deserves the opportunity to be properly handled, which is why we encourage consumers not to leave technology gathering dust in drawers, where batteries can become unsafe. In our operations, we follow a “green policy” strategy: we accept modern devices for collection (from the latest “iPhone 16/17 Pro Max” to “MacBook” with M series chips), and we accept absolutely all devices for disposal and recycling, regardless of their model, condition, or year of manufacture. We ensure that your personal information is irreversibly destroyed (NIST 800-88 standard), and functioning components are given a second life, thus minimizing the CO2 footprint.
What devices we accept in our service
We accept a full range of electronics for both collection and safe recycling:- Smartphones: From the latest flagships (“iPhone”, “Samsung Galaxy S25/S26 Ultra”, “Google Pixel”, “Xiaomi”) to the oldest, non-functioning models.
- Tablets: All generations of “iPad”, “Galaxy Tab”, “Microsoft Surface”, and tablets from other manufacturers.
- Laptops and desktops: “MacBook”, “Dell XPS”, “Lenovo ThinkPad”, old desktop parts (motherboards, graphics cards, power supplies).
- Smartwatches and accessories: “Apple Watch”, headphones (“AirPods”, “Sony”), gaming consoles, and other small electronics (IMPORTANT: we do not buy “Samsung Galaxy Watch”, but we accept them for disposal).
- For disposal: We accept any technical old items or critically damaged equipment – we ensure that lithium polymer batteries and other chemical elements do not enter the environment.
Safe preparation before handover — professional instructions
Our goal is to ensure your data privacy. Before handing over your device to the “Fixas” team, we recommend following these steps:1) Data backup
Take care of your photos and documents using “iCloud”, “Google Drive”, or external storage. After professional data clearing in our service, it will no longer be possible to recover the information.2) Unlink accounts and disable locks
This is necessary for the device to be given a second life:- Apple devices: It is necessary to log out of “Apple ID” and disable the “Find My” feature.
- Android devices: Remove all “Google” and manufacturer accounts to disable FRP protection.
- MDM profiles: Ensure that corporate management profiles are removed.
3) Factory reset
Perform a complete content wipe through the system settings. This process factory rewrites memory blocks, making your personal passwords and banking app data inaccessible.4) Remove SIM and memory cards
Don’t forget to remove SIM and microSD cards. We recommend removing cases unless you wish to recycle them along with the device.Safe shipping and battery transport rules
- Use sturdy corrugated cardboard boxes and enough soft padding to prevent the device from moving inside.
- Important for damaged batteries: Lithium-ion batteries are classified as hazardous cargo. If the battery is swollen (screen raised) or the device is overheating, it cannot be sent by mail – it must be safely delivered to our service in Vilnius in person.
What happens to your device in the “Fixas” service?
- Reception and registration: The device is entered into the system by recording its unique serial number or IMEI.
- Diagnostics and data destruction: Experts check the condition and use specialized software that guarantees 100% data destruction.
- Circular economy: Since we are direct parts importers and restore screens ourselves, functioning components are used for repairs, while unusable parts are handed over to licensed recyclers according to the EU WEEE directive.
Environmental protection and legal responsibility
In Lithuania, the management of electronic waste is strictly regulated by the Waste Management Law. “Fixas” collaborates only with certified partners, ensuring that hazardous substances, such as lead or cadmium, do not harm groundwater.
